NRCRI Umudike’s Governing Board Meets

The National Root Crops Research Institute (NRCRI), Umudike’s Governing Board was inaugurated on the 9th of March, 2018, along side other Agriculture related Agencies Boards by the Hon. Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Chief Audu Ogheh OFR.

The Board held a meeting from 25th – 27th of April, 2018 at the Institute’s Board Room in its Umudike office premises. This meeting represents the 80th Governing Board Meeting of the National Root Crops Research Institute (NRCRI), Umudike. Present at the meeting was the Board Chairman, Hon. Charles Chukwudi Ubah and twelve (12) other members.

The Chairman in his opening address welcomed members and stressed that the main essence of the Board was to add value to NRCRI, umudike.

Very important issues were discussed at the meeting especially on the way forward for the Institute and very useful and meaningful resolutions were made.

Closing formalities included facility tour of the Institute and a courtesy visit to the traditional ruler of Ikwuano community, comprising of over ten (10) autonomous communities including Umudike.
