WORKSHOP ON DOCUMENTATION OF AGRICULTURAL TECHNOLOGIES GENERATED BY THE NATIONAL AGRICULTURAL RESEARCH INSTITUTES (NARIs) FROM 2009-2018

The Agricultural Research Council of Nigeria (ARCN) organized a workshop on documentation of Agricultural Technologies generated by NARIs from 2009-2018.
The workshop which was co-sponsored by Forum for Agricultural Research in Africa (FARA) and Centre for Development Research (ZEF) University of Bon, took place from the 3rd -5th of June, 2018 at the Kakanfo Inn and Conference Centre, Ibadan.
In attendance were the Management team of ARCN, led by the Ag.ES, Saidu Abubakar Madagwa, the representative of FARA, Dr. Oluwole Fatunbi, and Executive Directors and Provosts of Agricultural Research Institutes and Colleges across the country with their teams. Also present at the workshop was Prof. Dayo Phillip, the documentation consultant.
The workshop featured a review of the data/information collection tool (form) by the consultant and Breakout Sessions, where Research Institutes and Colleges made presentations of their generated technologies which were reviewed by other experts. At the end of the workshop, the Institutions with the accepted generated technologies were asked to go back and fill the data/information collection questionnaires properly and submit to the consultant within one week.
